Sadly, this funky mailbox doesn’t exist anymore. The entire area was razed recently and now looks like this (thanks to Paris Karin for sharing the picture!).
Oct 2: Special Saturday
Free Oreos!
Funny, at big event or during heat waves when the beach is particularly crowded, a truck about this size, with a giant can of Red Bull where the cookies would be, pulls up and hands out free samples (like anyone hasn’t tasted it and either love or hates it already).
I’d much prefer the Red Bull. By tons.
See you in the street,
Paris Paul
It’s true that Oreos have not been available in France in previous years, though, huh — it’s a pretty recent thing that they have come into stores. I’ve seen it mentioned on blogs and in books/memoirs that Oreos used to be something expats and even some French would request that those outside France smuggle in.
I really like the photos for this week!
Free junk food in the City of “Lite”. What else could a guy want?
See you on the sofa,
Paris Paul
